At the visit

Simple steps

  1. Study the Ohio Driver Manual. Every question comes from it.
  2. Take the 40-question knowledge test and pass with 75 percent.
  3. Bring your documents and proof of passing to an official DMV or BMV office.
  4. Complete the vision screening and leave with your TIPIC.

Avoid a return trip

  • Do not skip the manual. Passing the first time saves a repeat trip.
  • Do not come without a parent or guardian if you are under 18.
  • Do not bring only one proof of address. You need two, from different sources.
